If a woman tries to preserve a marriage that has been damaged by infidelity, is she heroic or is she delusional? How many times does her husband have to cheat before she calls it quits? How many times does he have to get caught?
There it is, in a nutshell. Adultery. The theme behind my novel, Sex, Lies & Hot Tubs.
No, this isn’t the cover. It’s a Roman bath. But it might just be the world’s first hot tub. And look! There I am, contemplating an impromptu dive. Totally against the rules. I decided to dip in my big toe instead, also against the rules. (I like to live dangerously.) Hence the inspiration for my book: flagrante delicto.
Actually, that’s not the whole truth. The idea came to me a few years ago while I was driving a beat-up old Chevy pickup along the Superstition Highway, chasing my Ford Taurus. The Ford was supposed to be in the auto shop, but there it was, doing 85 or 90 (65 for sure), speeding away. How rude, right? What else could I do but follow it? But what does this have to do with hot tubs, pray tell? Well, I guess you’ll have to read the book to find out! For starters, though, you can stop by my book room to read the first chapter. And while you’re in there, check out my romances. ***If you’re in the mood for something darker, check out my short story collection, Burial Instructions and Other Stories.
